Ergonomics Awareness

The Ergonomics Awareness team combines the efforts of ergonomic consultants at MHealthy; Environment, Health & Safety in Ann Arbor; Michigan Medicine Safety Management Services; the Department of Environmental Health and Safety in Dearborn; and Environment, Health and Safety in Flint.

Ergonomic Consultations Now Available

We continue to offer in-person assessments for employees who are working on-site.  In addition, virtual consultations are available to employees who are working remote. If you are an employee and would like to request an ergonomic consultation, please complete the Ergonomic Evaluation Request Form.

If you are a provider:

  1. Michigan Medicine providers please enter the referral in MiChart under MHealthy Ergo.
  2. Outside providers please fax a referral to (734) 615-1570 using a typical referral form or this referral form.

Improve your Comfort at Work with Ergonomics

Learning about ergonomic principles and applying them in your workspace can help to improve your comfort and well-being at work.

Utilize the Self Help Resources, to begin learning about ergonomics and how to make adjustments your workspace for improved fit, comfort and productivity.

Medical Ergonomics

If your ability to perform your job is impacted due to a change in your vision, hearing, strength, endurance or coordination, assistance and support are available through the MHealthy Medical Ergonomics Program. A physician’s referral is required.
